Dillon, Joseph, address unrecorded, chairmaker (1701). In October 1701 he was paid £4 6s by 2nd Duke of Bedford for six walnut backstools and four walnut elbow chairs, all with stuffed backs, and two walnut round stools. [Bedford Office, London]

Gardner, Andrew, Woburn, Beds., u (1799–1830). Trading at Market Pl. in 1830, Regularly features in the Woburn Abbey accounts as an u and general handyman. Most of the furniture supplied was for the servants’ quarters or for estate use.

Hutchins, Abigail, address unrecorded, u and cm (1757–70). She worked with Abraham Hutchins for the 4th Duke of Bedford between 1757–60.

Metcalfe, Joseph, London, u (1752). Presented a large bill to the Duke of Norfolk for work done at Norfolk House, dated 9 May 1752.

Metzner, W. M., Greenwich, London, carver and gilder (1839). Recorded as W.M. jnr at Stockwell St in 1839. [D] Frame recorded bearing trade label, c.1840, which reads: ‘FANCY, GILT & LOOKING-GLASS FRAME MAKER, HOUSE AND ORNAMENTAL PAINTER, &c.

Morland, John, address unrecorded, u (1768–69). A long bill in the Kendal RO from John Morland to Thomas Morland is dated July 1768, totals £55 6s 9¼d, and was receipted in full on 5 June 1769.

Norwich; cabinet maker (b.1747-d.1790)

Strawbridge, Thomas, London(?), u and chairmaker (1691). Two bills survive in the Stoneleigh Abbey archives, one dated 4 April 1691 and the other 30 August 1691. Both concern goods supplied to Theophilus Leigh by this maker.
