Freeman of the City of Dublin as a Joiner by Grace Especial, Michaelmas 1705.

Parish of St Michan, Ralph Whitherington, joiner, married Mary Smyth, spinster, 14 November 1703 [Association for the Preservation of the Memorials of the Dead in Ireland, vol. 11, no. 1, p. 6].

In 1724, ‘Witherington, Joyner, setting forth that he hath been much reduced by fire, and therefore prayed the city's favour, ordered that the treasurer, on the Lord Mayor's warrant, do pay the petitioner the sum of ten pounds, sterling, the same to be allowed the treasurer on his account allowed’ [Calendar of Ancient Records of Dublin XVI, p. 277].
