Known only from undated trade cards in the Landauer Collection, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY. These indicate that he carried on a varied trade. He offered to buy or sell on commission ‘Old Paintings, Carved Picture Frames, Antique Furniture, Pier Tables, Brackets, Bronzes, Ancient Books, Armour, China &c.’

He attended sales in both London and the provinces and was prepared to bid for items on commission and also offered to clear ‘Lumber or Store Rooms’.
