Yorkshire; joiner, cabinet maker and builder (fl.1798-1837)

Umpleby was at Ebenezer Street, Leeds (1798); 3 Green Row, Brewery Field (1826); Williams Row, Brewery Field (1828–30); and Saracen's Head Yard, 24 Boar Lane, 1834–37.

Another John Umpleby (possibly former's son or a relative) was at High Street, Knaresborough, Yorkshire (1828–34).
