Faulkner’s Dublin Journal, 12-16 October 1742: ‘All persons to whom the late Mr. Robert Taylor, Gilder, was indebted, are called forthwith to bring their demands and the nature of the same to Mr. William Wilks at the Golden Ball in Sycamore-alley, administrator to the said Taylor, before the 10th of next November and such persons as were indebted to him are desired to pay what they owed him to the said Wilks his administrator, otherwise they will be sued as the law directs in such cases’.
