Faulkner’s Dublin Journal, 13-116 October 1753: ‘Philip Taverner, just returned from London, next door to the play house in Aungier-street, will furnish ladies with all kinds of Japanned work or cabinet chamber chests, dressing boxes, tables and trays done in a ground, which will bare boiling water, all kinds of varnished and gilding oils…’.
Succeeded in 1755 by Mary Taverner, probably his widow.
