Probably the widow of Phillip Taverner (d.1755).
Universal Advertiser, 28 June 1755: Mary Taverner of Aungier-street, continues to carry on the japanning and gilding business, in all its branches, where ladies may be furnished with Indian dressing boxes, likewise cabinets, chamber chests, and tables in the newest taste; also sets of basso-relievo birds and flowers’.
