Swift, James (1656)
Swift, James
Briggate, Leeds, Yorkshire; joiner (d.1656)
Married Jane Bland in 1647, had two daughters Hannah and Sarah. He was probably still quite young when he died, leaving £25 to each of his daughters and the rest to his widow. Sarah married another joiner, John Brooksbank, in June 1675. His will also mentions two ‘good friends’, William and Richard Atkinson, of whom William was certainly also a joiner.
