Stubbs, Richard (1777)

Stubbs, Richard

11 Archer Street in Windmill Street, Haymarket, London; cabinet maker and upholsterer (fl. 1777)

In 1777 he purchased insurance cover of £200 which included £30 for utensils and stock [London Metropolitan Archive (LMA), Sun MS vol. 254, p. 469]. This may represent an early stage in his business career.

Subsequently he was to issue a trade card with the same address which might suggest a business of somewhat more substantial proportions.
