Listed as a cabinet and bedstead maker inThe Furniture Gazette Directory, 1876 & 1877 and as a bedstead manufacturer and retailer in The Furniture Gazette: Classified List of the Furniture, Upholstery, and Allied Trades, 1886.

The Furniture Gazette, 29 November 1873, illustrated three beds of the firm’s manufacture and ‘Stidolph’s Iron Bedsteads’ were advertised in The Furniture Gazette, 3 January 1874. 

Stidolph advertised for a young man as clerk and salesman [The Furniture Gazette, 22 December 1877].  

He exhibited a range of cheap bedsteads suitable for institutional use at the Labour Saving Machinery Exhibition, Agricultural Hall, London, in March 1881 [The Furniture Gazette, 19 March 1881].
