Steffenoni, Joseph

London; looking glass maker, carver, gilder, upholsterer and cabinet maker (fl.1815–45)

At 56 Hatton Garden in 1815 as a looking-glass manufacturer. At 74 Leather Lane, 1820–35 as a carver, gilder and looking-glass maker. At Brook House, 142 High Holborn, 1837–39 as an upholsterer and cabinet maker. The street façade of the firm's premises is shown in Tallis’s London Street Views (1838-40), see Kirkham, Furniture History (1988), fig.54.  Listed as cabinet maker and upholsterer at 142 Holborn Bars, in the 1845 London Post Office Directory.
