Stayner, Robert snr, East St, Blandford, Dorset, chairmaker (1808–d.1811). In 1808 was in occupation of a recently built workshop and maintained a timber yard. On his death in 1811 these passed to his son James with the proviso that a small part of the workshop should be made available to his daughter Luci for basket-making. He had another son, Robert jnr.
