Stanton, Edward (1712-16)

Stanton, Edward, London, joiner(?) (1712–16). In 1716 the Duke of Montrose recorded in his household accounts ‘marble tables’ bought in London from Edward Stanton for his lodging in Glasgow. The Edward Stanton mentioned might be the person of that name trading as a joiner 1712–13 and occupying a house and workshop on the south side of Gilbert St, parish of St Giles-in-the-Fields.
