In 1895 this company had branches in Swansea and Neath and were also for a time in Llanelli, where in 1898 their shop had a final ‘Clean Sweep Sale’. Shortly afterwards the firm’s former manager in Llanelli John Thomas opened his own shop there. An advertisement in a Swansea news paper of c. 1895 promoted ‘Special Lines in Satin Walnut and Ash Bedroom Suites All Bevelled Plates, as Shown £10 15s’. The advert was illustrated with an eight piece bedroom suite. The firm prospered and expanded in the early 20th century, with branches in Haverfordwest, Swansea, Neath, Bridgend and Tonypandy.
