Smith Bradshaw & Saunders (1755)

Smith Bradshaw & Saunders, Soho, London, upholders and cm (1755). In February 1755 a fire was reported in their workshops which not only extensively damaged them but also destroyed the tools and tool chests of thirty seven workers who were employed there. The value of these was said to exceed £300. A subscription list was established and on 2 April it was reported that sufficient had been given to make good the damage.
