Advertised in Newcastle Courant, 15 February 1766, that he, ‘… Having wrought for several Years with the most distinguish'd Artists in London … has opened a Shop in Pilgrim Street, opposite the Low Bridge End, Newcastle … executes carving, gilding, sculpture and glass grinding … marble chimney pieces, gerandoles … Now employs the most able Artists in the several branches abovenamed’.
