Rawes, Ger(r)ard

Lancaster, Lancs.; joiner and cabinet maker (fl.1738-1768)

Gerard Rawes was apprenticed to George Haresnape, joiner, in 1738. He took on five apprentices as joiners and cabinet makers: Nicholas Croft in 1749, Walter Wilson in 1752, John Huck in 1756, John Wilson in 1762 and James Burton in 1765. He had premises in China Lane in 1766.His son, Christopher, was admitted freeman u, 1767–68.
