17 Frith St, Soho, London; cabinet maker, upholder, undertaker and billiard table maker (fl. 1826–71)
Recorded from 1826 and in the London Post Office Directory 1845. P O Directory 1871 listed him at the same address as a billiard & bagatelle table maker. He patented a table (no.10332) in 1844 which could be transformed into a billiard table. Recorded in the Lord Chamberlain's Accounts in 1846. A mahogany secrétaire á abattant is stamped ‘A RAMUZ’ (illus. Gilbert (1996), fig. 762, sold Sotheby’s 1 May 1987, lot 142).
