In 1873 Punch Brothers was at Granville House, Newport Road and by 1876 had relocated to 20 Newport Road & 40 Park Street [The Furniture Gazette, 12 April 1873; The Furniture Gazette Directory, 1876]. Their premises were 100 feet long and situated forty feet from Newport Road back to Park Street. A reporter from The Furniture Gazette remarked on a pollard oak neo-Renaissance carved sideboard of large proportions, designed and made by Punch Brothers with a value of not less than £400 [The Furniture Gazette, 19 February 1876].
Punch Bros were listed in The Furniture Gazette: Classified List of the Furniture, Upholstery, and Allied Trades (1886).
A memorandum (above) dated 1875, from Punch Brothers at Granville House, Newport Road and Crescent, Middlesborough, is included in the Graham Gadd Archive (NMS).
