Prescott, Richard

Lord Street, Liverpool; carver (fl. 1702–d. 1747)

Prescott's wood carvings are only known (to date) within churches, particularly those at North Meols Church, removed from St Peter, Liverpool. He acted as a joiner for wainscoting at Croxteth Hall (1702) and Woolton Hall (1709), both in Lancashire.

In 1746 employed Thomas Johnson on a casual basis and also helped Johnson find other work in Liverpool. His will is in Preston Record Office.
