Plukenett, Thomas (1750-63)

Plukenett, Thomas, High Holborn, London, cm (1750–63). Regularly supplied furniture to the 4th Duke of Bedford for Bedford House, London, Woburn Abbey and the Duke's house at Streatham, London. The furniture appears to have been simple functional items which included wainscot dressing tables, matted chairs, mahogany card tables, chests of drawers and dressing glasses etc. The total cost for the period 1750–59 only amounted to about £300.
