High Street, Southampton, Hampshire; cabinet maker and upholsterer (fl.1823–88)

Richard H. Perkins was recorded at 61 High St (1823); no. 60 (1830) and no. 59 (1834–9). An advertisement in Southampton Directory (1839) listed him as an upholsterer, cabinet maker, auctioneer and estate agent; also paper hanging, interior decoration, undertaker and agent for the Phoenix Fire Office and Palladium Life Co.

Perkins & Son(s) was listed in the High Street in The Furniture Gazette Directory, 1876.

The firm furnished the new board room for the Board of Guardians for South Stoneham, near Southampton [The Furniture Gazette, 1 July 1888].
