Peacock, John

Godalming, Surrey; upholsterer and cabinet maker (fl.1781–98)

In 1781 he purchased insurance cover of £600 of which £240 was in respect of utensils and stock. By 1791 these figures had risen to £1,200 and £300 respectively [The London Archives (TLA), Sun MS vol. 289, p. 619; vol. 381, p. 220].
