Dublin, Ireland; cabinet maker and joiner (fl.1763-d.1790)
Recorded at 20 Winetavern Street, 1763-77; 81 Capel Street, 1778-92 (he died 1790 but was still listed in the trade directories after his death).
The son of Samuel Paul snr, made Freeman of the City of Dublin as a Joiner by Birth, Michaelmas 1765. He was elected Warden of the Joiners' Guild from 1767 to 1768 and Master from 1787 to 1788.
Pue’s Occurrences, 5-9 February 1763: ‘Mr. Samuel Paul Jnr, Cabinet-maker, is appointed Parish Clerk of St John, in the room of his father, deceased’.
Thrice married. Faulkner’s Dublin Journal 10-13 October 1761: ‘Marriage some days ago, Mr. Samuel Paul Jnr of Winetavern-street, Cabinet-maker, to Miss Rebecca Day’. Belfast News-Letter, 29 April 1768: ‘Marriage of Samuel Paul, cabinet-maker, to Miss Thompson of Winetavern Street. Hibernian Journal, June 1771: ‘Marriage: Mr. Samuel Paul Jnr of Winetavern-street, Cabinet-maker to Miss Anne Harvey of Harristown’.
