Scotland; cabinet maker (fl.1892-3)
Paterson was a cabinet maker employed by Morison & Co. of Edinburgh. He made the linen press designed by Robert Lorimer which was sent to the 1893 Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society exhibition in London. A. Paterson, possibly the same one, was recorded in Furniture Gazette: Classified List of the Furniture, Upholstery, and Allied Trades (fl.1886) as a cabinet maker in Kilmarnock.
