Owen, William & James

Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales; cabinet makers and builders (fl.1842-44)

William and James Owen built a new house for James Higgon at Scolton near Haverfordwest in 1842. They also supplied furniture, including a mahogany secretaire bookcase which survives. A mahogany sideboard is also attributed to these makers (illus. Bebb (2007), figs 970 & 1081).

They were recorded as cabinet makers in High Street, Haverfordwest in Pigot's South Wales Directory, 1844.
