A letter in the Gillow archive, dated 28 December 1796, indicates that M. & H. Oppenheim of 115 Aldergate Street, London, made knife cases for Gillows. Michael Oppenheim was recorded in directories 1809-11 at 27 Mansell Street. Succeeded by Henry Oppenheim by 1817.
