Belfast News-Letter, 23-27 December 1791: ‘Bankrupt, Arthur Morlett of Great George-street, City of Dublin, Cabinet-maker, Dealer and Chapman, to surrender the 30th and 31st day of December instant, and the 1st day of January next at the Royal Exchange in Dublin’. Saunder’s News-Letter, 3 January 1792: ‘Bankrupt’s sale, by order of the assignees of Arthur Morlett, John Davis Auctioneer, on Tuesday the 10th of January 1792, will sell the interest in the lease, stock in trade and household furniture of the said bankrupt, at his house No 62 South Great George’s-street.

The stock consists of a great variety of articles in the cabinet and upholstery branches, and a large quantity of seasoned mahogany, oak, deal, as will be more fully expressed in handbill. The interest of the lease of the house, which is for a long term of years, and for which Mr. Morlett gave a large fine, and has expended a considerable sum of money in lasting and valuable improvements, will be sold on Tuesday, the first day of sale, precisely at two o'clock, if not disposed of before by private contract. Applications for that purpose to be made to Mr. George Binns, or Mr. Redmond, Dame-street, Assignees of the said bankrupt’.
