Recorded at Grafton Street near Chequer Lane, 1767-9; 2 Coppinger’s Lane, 1772-5 (in partnership of Samuel Spoule and John Mathew).
Miller was also Upholder by Service to the Duke of Leinster.
Faulkner’s Dublin Journal, 14-18 April 1767: ‘John Miller who had, and continues to have the honour to be employed by his Grace the Duke of Leinster, as Upholder, to furnish his house in Dublin and Carlton, which he has had the pleasure of executing to his Grace’s satisfaction, begs leave to inform the nobility and gentry, that he has taken a house in Grafton-street near Chequer-lane, at the Duke of Leinster’s Arms where he proposes to carry on business in the most extensive manner, and as his is a new beginner, will make it his principle [sic] study to merit the favour of all those who will deem him the honour to employ him, by his punctuality and care in finding his work in the neatest and most fashionable manner’.
