Middleton, Robert
Arbroath, Scotland; furniture maker (fl.c.1901-1906)
Middleton was the maker of furniture to the designs of Henry T. Wyse, including his ‘Simple Furniture’ range, as illustrated in The Studio, November 1901 (illus. Carruthers (2013), p. 271). He was also maker of the cabinet of stained oak with painted gesso decoration and brass handles, c.1906-10, decorated by Wyse and now in the collection of Glasgow Museum (illus. Carruthers (2013), p. 331).
