Middlefell, Richard

Lancaster, Lancs.; cabinet maker (fl.1818-46)

He made a dressing table for Gillows in November 1818. In 1822 he made a mahogany social table with a top veneered in Spanish mahogany, for which he received £1 16s3d. for making and ‘reeding'. He and Lawson were responsible for making an oak chair in May 1822 which was carved by Leighton and Rigby and varnished by George Romney. He made a mahogany Gothic sideboard in October 1843 for Kenworthy Esq. and a sideboard table in brown oak in March 1846 for W.B. Hughes which was very elaborately carved: the shield was carved in London.
