Apprenticed to William McCready snr and made Freeman of the City of Dublin as an Upholder by Birth, Christmas 1783.

Recorded at 66 Bride Street 1796-1800 (in partnership with William McCready, snr, 1796-8 and William McCready, jnr, 1796-1800); 43 Bride Street 1801-14; 66 Bride Street 1815-27.

‘William McCready and Thomas McCready praying for payment of bill for providing new cushions et cetera, for the Lord Mayor's seat in Saint Ann's church whereupon it was ordered that the city treasurer do on the Lord Mayor's warrant pay petitioner the sum of E12 9s., sterling, for the reasons in their petition mentioned [Calendar of Ancient Records of Dublin, vol. XVI, p, 47].
