Malley, James

Lancaster, Lancs.; carpenter (fl.1779-1785)

The son of James Malley of Lancaster, carpenter, he was apprenticed to Henry Bamber, house carpenter of Lancaster from 12 June 1779. He was listed with six others including John Malley who were sent to work at lawyer Barrow's house in January 1780. Malley was recorded in their Petty Ledger for 1780-82 and 1783-85. He was father of John Malley, a cabinet maker who worked for Gillow’s for fifty years.
