Maker of a hall table designed by Ambrose Heal for Heal & Son, which was displayed at the 1903 Arts & Crafts Exhibition at a price of £14 (cat. no. 408). Mackenzie continued to execute work for Heal’s after the commencement of the First World War including an Ambrose Heal designed sideboard, ebonised and gilt, exhibited at the 1916 Arts & Crafts Exhibition at a price of £25 (cat. no. 572). The 1916 catalogue recorded the sideboard maker as J. Mackenzie but believed to be A. Mackenzie.
