Lonsdale or Lownsdale, Francis
Lancaster, Lancs.; cabinet maker (fl.1756-1792)
The son of Thomas Lonsdale, victualler of Milnthorpe, Westmorland, he was apprenticed to Robert Gillow to serve from 9 June 1756. He was one of nine workmen listed in the firm's Petty Ledger for 1760-62. He may have been the Lonsdale who is recorded in the Gillow Archive who made a circular snap table on eagle's claw feet in November 1792.
