Leack, John (1823-1832)
Leack, John
Lancaster, Lancs.; furniture maker (fl.1823-32)
The pencilled signature of John Loadk (?) or Leack appears under the top drawer of a rosewood worktable in the manner of Gillows which was illustrated in Phillips of New Bond Street's catalogue 13 January 2000. He was probably the John Leack, son of Richard Leack, victualler of Lancaster, and brother of James Leack, who was apprenticed to L. Redmayne from 9 October 1823.
