Lansdell, Stephen (1832-1840)

Lansdell, Stephen

Brighton & Worthing, Sussex; carver, gilder and looking-glass manufacturer (fl.1832–40)

Lansdell was listed in one directory at 55 Meeting House Lane (1832) and in another at 54 Union Place (1833). In 1839 he was at 50 East Street where his manufacture of looking-glasses is mentioned for the first time.

He may have been in a partnership with other family members because some directories refer to Messrs Lansdell. Perhaps with a Stephen Lansdell, listed at 31 South Street, Worthing, as carver and gilder in 1839.
