Kingsman, Thomas

Kingsman purchased insurance cover on his home in Bear Street, Leicester Fields for £500 in 1708 and 1714 and in the latter year other houses in New Street, off St Martin's Lane were also insured for £425 [Heal; Guildhall Library, Hand in Hand MS vol. 14, p. 304; vol. 13, p. 578].  

Probably the same Thomas Kingsman, upholder at the sign of ‘The Red Lamp’, Broad Street, Golden Square, 1715–d. 1718. He or his son(?) was made a Freeman of the Upholders’ Company, 9 February 1714/15 [Heal; Guildhall Library, Upholders’ Company records].
