Volunteers Journal or Irish Herald, 28 October 1785: ‘Fancy Pattern Rush Bottom Chairs, Miles Kavanagh, Rush Bottom Chair Maker, No 24 Bride-alley, Dublin. With the greatest respect acquaints the nobility, gentry and public in general, that he continues to sell all sorts of rush bottom chairs, of the newest patterns and best quality, cheaper than any other person in Dublin. Those who please to favour him with their orders, may depend on the strictest punctuality and dispatch’.
