Jones, Benjamin

Carmarthen, Wales; cabinet maker (b.1804-d.1834)

Set up in Carmarthen in 1831 claiming to have worked the previous six years in London. The venture was unsuccessful and in 1832 Richard Istance of Blue Street, Carmarthen, bought Jones’s stock of mahogany and Jones returned to London where he died in 1834, aged 30.
