James, John Lloyde
St Clears, Carmathenshire, Wales; cabinet maker (fl. 1912)
An employee of William Beynon, James made a teak glazed dresser for his own wedding in 1912 (illus. Bebb (2007), fig. 1261). Another was made for a neighbour in 1914. In the same year James moved to Southampton to work on aircraft and in 1918 he moved to work for Fullers in Swansea. He later returned to St Clears and set up as a cabinet maker, painter, decorator and undertaker.
