In 1802, Ibbetson supplied ‘46 yds Crimson Damask’ for a canopy, two chairs of state, two stools and a footstool supplied to Lord Whitworth, the British Ambassador to the French Republic. The furniture survives at Knole and is illustrated in Drury, Furniture History (1985), figs 3-6.
