Humphreys, John

St Paul's Churchyard, London, upholsterer (fl.1743-d.1750)

Humphreys was a resident of St. Martin, Ludgate on the west side of St. Paul's Churchyard. 

He served as a juror at the Old Bailey on two occasions, 7 December 1743 and 25 February 1747. He also acted as an auctioneer in the sale of stock for Radford, a retiring toyman. [General Advertiser, 30 November 1748, 10 January 1749].

He died in 1750 and in 1752 his widow, Frances, married Casar Crouch, a cabinet maker in St. Paul's Churchyard.
