Hood, Robert (1696-1795)
Hood, Robert, Southwark, London, then Tower Hill, and died at Enfield, cm and naval carpenter (b.1696–d.1795). Member of the Livery of the Joiners’ Co. in 1750. Report of his death in Gents Mag., February 1795 stated that he was born on 15 August 1696 at Lower Deeping, Lincs., and ‘made the wooden model for Westminster Bridge, and fitted-up, at considerable expence, Lord Rodney's first cabin; and then retired’.
