Hodder bound an apprentice named Gilbert in 1755.

On 7 March 1766, Charles Hodder, accabinet maker and widower of St Olave's, Southwark, and Sarah Osman, widow of St John's, Southwark, were named in the Surrey allegations of marriage [Society of Genealogy].
