Hayball, Arthur

Sheffield, Yorkshire; furniture maker, carver (fl.1851-1878)

A pupil of the Sheffield School of Design, Arthur Hayball exhibited a sideboard at the 1851 Great Exhibition. 

In 1877 he supplied eight new oak choir stalls at the Parish Church, Ecclesfield, where he had previously supplied a memorial pulpit [The Furniture Gazette, 17 February 1877]. 

While working for Hayball, Henry Hems executed two carving commissions, one for the Ecclesiastical Art Works, Exeter and the other restoring carving in the Ecclesfield Church, c.1862.
