Admitted a freeman of the Upholders’ Company on 2 August 1780 [Guildhall Library (GL), Upholders' Company records].

Purchased Sun Insurance policies in 1779 for £600 on his house; and in 1781 for £600, £500 accounting for utensils and stock [The London Archives (TLA),Sun MS vol. 278, p. 516; vol. 289, p. 410].

Named in Bailey's list of bankrupts, 1783.
