Hamond (1802-1804)

Hamond, -

Lancaster, Lancs.; ship carver (fl.1802-04)

A ship carver, he was listed in the Gillow’s Petty Ledger for 1802-04. He may have had some connection with the Joseph Hamond of Under Barrow, near Giggleswick, Yorkshire, who was apprenticed to Adam Batty of Lancaster, joiner, from 24 June 1736. He does not seem to have been employed by the firm but purchased a curtain rod and employed them to clean some fabric.
