GOW, JOHN, wright and upholsterer, Castlehill1773–74; hobby-horse maker and turner, head of Old Assembly Close 1784–93; wright and hobby-horse maker, West Bow 1795–96. On 2 November 1786 he accepted as p William Davie and John Dick for 6 years, but his name does not appear in the Burgess Roll. i(1, 3)
