Gorton, Thomas (1740-92)

Gorton, Thomas, 26 Vernon St, Liverpool, cm (b. 1740–d. 1792). Son of William Gorton and free 1761. Took as app. Joseph Evans 1791, free 1814. Thomas Gorton's son John petitioned freedom by patrimony in 1795. He died in June 1792 aged 52 ‘after a long and tedious illness’.
